Skin boosters in Kovin
Fresh skin, even when you are tired.
What are skin boosters
Skin boosters are products placed into the skin at many tiny points to hydrate it from within. Their base is hyaluronic acid, and some also contain amino acids that the skin uses as building material. They do not change the shape of your face or add volume; they improve the quality of your skin.
A cream works on the surface, while a skin booster works where the skin actually loses water and elasticity. That is why, after a course of treatments, your skin feels softer to the touch, reflects light better and fine dryness lines are less visible.
At Nami Klinik we use Jalupro, Jalupro Super Hydra, Ejal40, Skinvive by Juvéderm and RRS HA Long Lasting. The product is chosen for what your skin is asking for: some skin needs only water, and some also needs support to renew itself.
Who it is for
You notice your skin feels dry and tight even though you use a cream every day.
Your complexion looks grey and dull, especially towards the end of winter.
After a few hours, your foundation highlights the fine lines around your eyes and mouth.
Your neck and décolletage look more tired than your face.
You want fresh skin without any change to your features.
What the appointment looks like
Consultation
Your skin type and condition are checked, and you agree on the product, the number of treatments and the areas. Skin boosters are done on the face, neck, décolletage and hands.
Preparation
The skin is cleansed, and if needed an anaesthetic cream is left on for about twenty minutes, so the injections are barely felt.
Treatment
The product is placed with a fine needle at many tiny points or along a few lines, depending on the product. The treatment takes about half an hour.
Afterwards
Small bumps and redness usually disappear within a day. On that day you do not wear makeup or go to the sauna.
When you see results and how long they last
Your skin is better hydrated within a few days of the first treatment. For a longer lasting effect, two to three treatments are usually done three to four weeks apart, and the result is most visible a month after the last one.
The effect lasts roughly four to six months, depending on the product and your skin. With some products, such as Skinvive by Juvéderm, one treatment is often enough and the effect lasts about six months. After that, one maintenance treatment is enough.
Results depend on the condition of your skin.
Who performs this treatment
Questions we often get
How many treatments do I need?
Most often two to three, a few weeks apart. With some products, such as Skinvive by Juvéderm, one is often enough. The exact number depends on the product and on how dry your skin is to begin with.
Will there be visible marks after the treatment?
Small bumps at the injection points show for a few hours, and redness for a day at most. So it is a good idea to book the treatment when you have no important meeting the next day.
Can I have skin boosters in summer?
Yes. Unlike some peels, skin boosters do not make the skin sensitive to the sun. Still, sun protection is a must for the first few days after the treatment.
Is a skin booster the same as Profhilo?
Profhilo is often counted among skin boosters, but it has a higher concentration of hyaluronic acid and is given at fewer points. The difference is explained on the Profhilo page.
What should I avoid after the treatment?
On the first day, do not wear makeup, go to the sauna or exercise hard. For the next few days, avoid strong peels and retinol, and protect your skin from the sun.
Who do I book with, Dr Rada or Dr Ivan?
Both Dr Rada and Dr Ivan perform skin boosters. When you call or write on Viber, you can say who you would like to book with, or take the first free appointment.
