What is Profhilo
Profhilo is a product with a high concentration of pure hyaluronic acid. Unlike a filler, it is not meant to add volume or change shape. It is injected in small amounts at a few points on each side of the face, and then spreads evenly under the skin on its own.
Where it spreads, it hydrates the skin from within and encourages it to rebuild its own firmness. The result is skin that looks fuller, smoother and more rested, as after a good night's sleep and a few days off, while your features stay exactly the same.
Profhilo Structura is a newer version meant for deeper layers, above all the sides of the face, where support is the first to give way over the years. At the consultation Dr Rada assesses whether your skin calls for classic Profhilo, Structura or a combination.

What the appointment looks like
Consultation
You talk about what you notice in your skin, and we check whether Profhilo is the right choice or whether another treatment would give more.
Preparation
The skin is cleansed and disinfected. The injection points are always the same and placed so that the gel covers the whole cheek and part of the jaw.
Treatment
A few small injections are given on each side of the face. The whole treatment takes about ten minutes.
Afterwards
Small bumps may remain at the injection points and disappear within a few hours to a day. The next appointment is booked for about four weeks later.
Results
When you see results and how long they last
The usual plan is two treatments about a month apart. The skin looks fresher after the first one, but the real result shows four to eight weeks after the second treatment, once the skin has rebuilt its own structure.
The effect lasts roughly six months. To keep that look, many women repeat one treatment twice a year, most often before summer and before winter.

Questions we often get
Does Profhilo change the shape of my face?
No. Profhilo does not stay in one place like a filler; it spreads under the skin. That is why it does not add volume at a single point and your features stay the same. What changes is the quality of your skin.
What is the difference between Profhilo and skin boosters?
Both hydrate the skin, but because of its high concentration of hyaluronic acid, Profhilo also works on firmness and is given at fewer points. Skin boosters are chosen for what your skin needs most, for example hydration or regeneration, and are usually done as a course.
Is Profhilo only for the face?
Most often the face, but it is also used on the neck and décolletage, where the skin also thins quickly. At the consultation you agree which areas come first.
Can I have Profhilo along with Botox or filler?
They can be combined, because they do different things. Dr Rada decides the order and the time between treatments according to your plan.
When should Profhilo be avoided?
The treatment is postponed during pregnancy and breastfeeding, with active inflammation or infection of the skin in the treatment area and with some autoimmune conditions. That is why we talk about your health before the treatment.
