Collagen stimulator in Kovin

Skin that looks firmer month after month.

In short

What is a collagen stimulator

A PLLA collagen stimulator is a product based on poly L lactic acid, a substance the body breaks down gradually. It does not give volume straight away like a filler; instead it encourages the skin to make new collagen on its own over the following weeks and months.

The result builds slowly: the skin becomes firmer and denser, and the face gains support where it has loosened over the years, for example on the cheeks and along the jaw. Because the change happens gradually, people notice that you look more rested, not that something has been done.

That is why a collagen stimulator is a good choice when you want a long lasting effect and are in no hurry for the result. Dr Rada performs the treatment.

In the mirror

Who it is for

  • You notice your face has lost firmness, especially around the cheeks and jaw.

  • Your skin feels thinner and softer than a few years ago.

  • You want a change that comes gradually, not overnight.

  • You do not want your face to change visibly, just your skin to look healthier and firmer.

  • You are ready for two to three treatments and a few months of patience.

Appointment

What the appointment looks like

  1. Consultation

The quality of your skin and the support of your face are assessed, and the number of treatments is agreed. The consultation also checks whether a collagen stimulator is the right choice for you or whether it is better to start with another treatment.

  2. Preparation

The product is prepared in advance by dissolving it in sterile water. The skin is cleansed and disinfected, and an anaesthetic cream is applied if needed.

  3. Treatment

The product is placed with a fine needle or a cannula into a deeper layer of the skin, evenly across the area. The appointment takes about half an hour to an hour.

  4. Afterwards

Mild swelling and the occasional bruise may show for a few days. You get instructions for massaging the treated area over the following days, which helps the product spread evenly.

Results

When you see results and how long they last

Right after the treatment your face may look fuller because of the liquid, but this settles within a few days. The real result builds gradually and shows most two to three months after the last treatment.

Most often two to three treatments are done four to six weeks apart. The new collagen stays for a long time, so the effect often lasts up to two years.

Results depend on the condition of your skin.

Questions

Questions we often get

What is the difference between a collagen stimulator and filler?

A filler gives volume straight away where it is placed. A collagen stimulator does not fill the face immediately; it encourages the skin to make its own collagen, so the change is gradual and lasts longer.

Why don't I see the result straight away?

Your skin needs time to make new collagen. That is why the result is assessed only a few months after the treatment, not in the first days.

Why is massage after the treatment important?

Massage helps the product spread evenly and lowers the chance of small lumps forming under the skin. That is why it matters that you do it the way you were shown.

When should a collagen stimulator be avoided?

It is not done during pregnancy or breastfeeding, with active inflammation or infection of the skin in the area, with a tendency to keloid scars or with some autoimmune conditions.

Is a collagen stimulator combined with other treatments?

It can be combined with skin quality treatments such as Profhilo or PRP, with the time between them agreed at the consultation.
