Viscoderm Skinkò E mesotherapy

A glow that does not come from highlighter.

In short

What is Viscoderm Skinkò E mesotherapy

Mesotherapy is a treatment in which a cocktail of nourishing ingredients is placed directly into the upper layer of the skin through many tiny injections. That way the ingredients reach where a cream cannot take them.

Viscoderm Skinkò E is a ready made cocktail by IBSA, the maker of Profhilo, designed for skin that has lost its glow. It contains hyaluronic acid for hydration, along with vitamins, amino acids and antioxidants, including vitamin E, which gives it its name.

The result is not a change of shape, but skin that looks as if you have just come back from holiday: more even, more hydrated and with a natural glow. That is why this treatment is a good choice both as a first step in skincare and as a refresher between other treatments.

In the mirror

Who it is for

  • You notice your complexion looks dull and tired, especially after winter or a stressful period.

  • Your skin feels dry and lacks glow, even though you look after it regularly.

  • Makeup does not sit on your face as well as it used to.

  • You want to give your skin something more than a cream, without a more serious treatment.

  • You are getting ready for an event and want an even, fresh complexion.

Appointment

What the appointment looks like

  1. Consultation

Your skin is assessed and you agree whether mesotherapy is enough or whether it is better to combine it with another treatment.

  2. Preparation

The face is cleansed and disinfected, and if you like, an anaesthetic cream is applied.

  3. Treatment

The cocktail is placed with a fine needle in many tiny, shallow injections across the whole face. The treatment takes about twenty minutes.

  4. Afterwards

The skin is slightly red for a few hours and tiny dots may show at the injection points. On that day you do not wear makeup, go to the sauna or exercise.

Results

When you see results and how long they last

Your skin looks fresher within a few days of the first treatment. For a longer lasting result, three to four treatments are usually done two to three weeks apart.

After the course, the effect lasts a few months and is maintained with one treatment every one to two months, depending on how your skin responds.

Results depend on the condition of your skin.

Questions

Questions we often get

Is mesotherapy the same as a skin booster?

They are similar, as both are placed into the skin with tiny injections. Mesotherapy with a cocktail delivers a wider range of nourishing ingredients, while skin boosters focus mainly on deep hydration.

How long does the redness last?

Most often a few hours. If you have the treatment in the afternoon, usually nothing shows by the next morning.

Can I have mesotherapy in summer?

Yes, with sun protection for the first few days after the treatment. Mesotherapy does not make the skin especially sensitive to the sun.

What age is mesotherapy for?

There is no strict age. Younger women have it as a refresher and for prevention, and older women often as an addition to other skin quality treatments.

What should I do before the treatment?

For a few days before your appointment, avoid strong peels and retinol on your face, and if you take blood thinning medicines, mention it at the consultation. Come without makeup or remove it at the clinic.

Can I combine mesotherapy with other treatments?

It can be combined with skin boosters, Profhilo or Botox, with the time between them set by Dr Rada according to your plan. It is also popular as skin preparation before summer or an important event.

Book a consultation and see whether mesotherapy is the right start for your skin.
