What is Dermapen 4
Dermapen 4 is a microneedling device. A head with a row of very fine needles moves quickly over the skin and creates thousands of microscopic channels. The skin treats these tiny injuries as a call to renew itself and starts producing new collagen and elastin.
The result is not seen as a change but felt under your fingertips: the skin is smoother, pores are less noticeable, and acne marks and fine lines become softer. The needle depth is set separately for each part of the face, so the work is gentle where the skin is thin and deeper where more is needed.
The same microchannels are a route that lets products reach deeper than when they are simply applied. That is why Dermapen 4 is often combined with a PRX-T33 peel or with V-Tech, ASCE and Dermaceuticals exosomes, depending on what your skin needs. Kristina performs the treatment.

What the appointment looks like
Consultation
Kristina looks at your skin under the light, asks what bothers you most and suggests whether you have Dermapen on its own or in combination.
Preparation
Your face is cleansed thoroughly and an anaesthetic cream is applied, which stays on for twenty to thirty minutes.
Treatment
The device moves over your face in several passes, with a serum that helps it glide and nourishes the skin. The procedure itself takes about half an hour.
Afterwards
The skin is red as after a day in the sun, and the redness fades within one to three days. On the first day you do not wear makeup, and in the following days sun protection is a must.
Results
When you see results and how long they last
Your skin is smoother and fresher a week after the treatment. Collagen forms gradually, so the biggest change shows one to two months after the last treatment in the course.
For texture and pores, three to four treatments are usually done, and a few more for acne marks, about four weeks apart. The new collagen stays, and the effect is maintained with one treatment a few times a year.

Will it show that I had something done?
On the first day the skin is red, and on the second day usually only slightly pink. So it is a good idea to book the treatment before a weekend or a day off.
When is the right time for Dermapen?
Autumn and winter are ideal, because there is less sun. In summer it can be done with consistent sun protection, which you agree on with Kristina.
What are exosomes and why are they added?
Exosomes are products that send the skin signals to renew itself. They are applied during the Dermapen 4 treatment, so they reach deeper through the microchannels and help the skin calm down and renew faster.
Can I have Dermapen if I have active acne?
We do not work over inflamed acne, because the inflammation can spread. The skin is calmed first, and Dermapen comes once there is no active inflammation.
How uncomfortable is the treatment?
With the anaesthetic cream, most women feel only a light scratching and vibration. On the forehead and around the nose the sensation is a little stronger.
